  2002年毕业于云南大学,2007年在中国科学院植物研究所获博士学位并留所工作。现任中国科学院植物研究所研究员,博士生导师,植物系统发育重建研究组组长,Frontiers in Plant Science、《生物多样性》和《热带亚热带植物学报》等期刊编委。主要从事植物分类学、系统学和生物地理学研究,主持了国家自然科学基金之青年基金、面上基金(5项)、国际合作交流项目,是中国科学院战略性先导科技专项(B类)的课题负责人,国家自然科学基金委重大项目、中国科学院“知识创新工程重要方向项目”和国家科技部“重大科学研究计划项目”的子课题负责人。近年来,在植物分类学与系统发育,植物时空格局与区系地理、地球演变,植物多样性进化与植被形成等研究方面取得了重要成果。迄今发表论文110余篇,其中50余篇(第一或通讯作者)在PNAS、Nat Commun、New Phytol、Cladistics (2篇)、Proc R Soc B (3篇)、Integr J Plant Biol、Ann Bot、J Biogeogr、BMC Plant Biol (2篇)、Mol Phylogenet Evol (8篇)和Taxon (8篇)等国际主流杂志上。2014年入选中国科学院青年创新促进会,2015年被遴选为中国科学院大学岗位教授,2022年获中国科学院朱李月华优秀教师奖。多位学生获国家奖学金、中国科学院地奥奖学金、中国科学院朱李月华优秀博士生奖、中国科学院院长优秀奖等。

主要成绩

  1. 植物分类学与系统发育研究

  对毛茛目的分类和系统发育进行了长期系统的研究,通过整合形态和系统发育历史,系统解决了毛茛目和其他相关被子植物疑难类群的分类学问题,提出了世界毛茛目、防己科新分类系统(Perspect Plant Ecol Evol Syst, 2009; Taxon, 2016);发表了1新科、3新族、5新属和14个新组合(Taxon, 2012, 2013, 2017; Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2017a, 2019, 2020a; Ann Bot,2023);构建了罂粟科包括所有现生属的高支持的系统发育树并解决了蕨叶草属长期争议的系统位置(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2023a);发现1中国新纪录属并以实际案例阐明了分类学在生物多样性保护中的重要作用(Taxon, 2021)。

  对当前数据分析存在的问题提出了指导性建议,包括以毛茛族研究为例阐明了单基因预分析的必要性(J Syst Evol, 2014),提出了一个多基因数据联合分析的流程(Sci China Life Sci, 2014),指出基于系统发育树比较分析有时不能确定不同数据矩阵是否存在真实的冲突(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2017),由此建议在系统发育分析时,至少采用两种方法,判定显著冲突标准为MP BS ≥ 70%和PP ≥ 0.95 (Taxon, 2021)。此外,还对腊叶标本DNA提取易污染的问题提出了针对性解决办法(Bot Lett, 2018)。

  2. 植物时空格局与区系地理、地球演变研究

  以泛热带分布的防己科为代表类群,揭示了新生代以来不同大陆热带植物区系之间的散播路线及其时间,阐明了全球温度变化和海平面波动是制约全球热带植物区系交流的关键因素,并首次基于现生类群为“北热带植物区系假说”提供了证据支持(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2019, 2020a; Taxon, 2019; Ann Bot, 2023);对泛热带分布的金缕梅科进行了研究,重建了包括所有28个现存属以及22个绝灭种的时间树,发现金缕梅科分布区的扩张主要集中在三个相对温暖的时期:白垩纪晚期、古新世–始新世和晚渐新世(J Biogeogr, 2019)。

  以毛茛科人字果属和黄连属为代表性类群,对东亚的生物地理进行了研究,发现了迄今为止在植物界最为古老的中国大陆-日本的隔离分化事件(约22 Ma),阐明了海平面变化是制约中国大陆、台湾和日本三地植物交流的关键因素,强调了中国大陆和日本均是台湾植物多样性的资源区(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2017b; BMC Evol Biol, 2018);利用新建立的青牛胆属探讨了台湾南部恒春半岛植物区系的起源,提出了“恒春半岛植物群包含有一些源自中国大陆的古老成分”的新观点(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2017a)。此外,以毛茛科翠雀亚属植物为研究对象,揭示了东亚是地中海旱生植物多样性的主要资源区之一,提出了自晚中新世“从东亚一路向西扩散至整个地中海地区”的迁移路线(Taxon, 2017)。

  生物进化与地球演变息息相关,散播能力弱的生物类群的地理分布格局能反映地球板块的演变历史。以毛茛科菟葵属为代表类群,研究发现该属地理分布格局的式样反映了亚洲三大高原的形成过程,首次揭示了土耳其地块向西侧移与伊朗高原在中新世中期隆升同步发生,并提出青藏高原中部东西向的峡谷在约40 Ma海拔高度不足2300 m (Proc R Soc B, 2021)。

  3. 植物多样性进化与植被形成研究

  以防己科为特征成分探讨了现代热带雨林的起源,提出了“全球热带雨林在约66Ma几乎同时兴起”的新观点(New Phytol, 2012);以蒺藜科为指示成分研究了荒漠植被的起源与分化,发现全球不同大陆荒漠植被在中新世中晚期几乎同时兴起(BMC Evol Biol, 2018),揭示该科起源于降水季节性较强的半干旱气候中,其全球多样性分布格局是由水分生态位保守性和物种的快速分化所共同决定的(Proc R Soc B, 2018)。此外,对紫堇亚科多样化的研究发现,预适应是荒漠植被生物多样性发生快速多样化的重要机制(Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2023b)。

  为探讨东亚亚热带常绿阔叶林的进化历史,首先对十大功劳属和木通科进行了研究,发现北美是东亚亚热带常绿阔叶林生物多样性的源区之一,揭示其物种多样性在早中新世和晚中新世发生了快速增加 (Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2020b; Cladistics, 2020)。随后又进一步用壳斗科优势种开展了相关研究,发现夏季高降水和冬季低温是影响壳斗科优势种分布的关键生态因子,提出了现代东亚亚热带常绿阔叶林在新近纪经历了一个动态的进化过程,这与青藏高原的隆升、东亚季风的演变密切相关(J Integr Plant Biol, 2022)。同时,对林下腐生植物的多样性也进行了研究,发现林下腐生类群的起源与常绿阔叶林、落叶阔叶林的兴起息息相关(BMC Plant Biol, 2022; Mol Phylogenet Evol, 2023c)。

  为探讨东亚亚热带特殊生境生物多样性的形成过程,分别对喀斯特和洞穴生物的迁入动态进行了研究,揭示亚热带和热带喀斯特区域生物多样性迁入的式样明显不同,与其各自地质、古气候和植被演变密切相关(Proc R Soc B, 2022);发现88%的洞穴迁入事件都发生在渐新世-中新世交界期之后,提出了当地的地质(造山和板块运动)、古气候(季风和降水)以及亚热带常绿阔叶林的演变共同驱动了该地区生物的洞穴定殖(PNAS, 2022)。

  为探讨北极苔原植被的进化历史,整合32个被子植物类群共3626种的系统发育、分化时间和生物地理等分析结果,发现该地区外来迁入物种和本地起源物种的多样化过程基本一致,受北极地区的地质、古气候和海平面变化所制约;揭示北极苔原被子植物虽然来源于多个生物地理区域,但其中约有54%的外来迁入者来自北美洲西部,且这些植物的迁入过程贯穿了北极苔原植被的整个进化历史,进而强调在北极和北美洲西部之间可能长期存在一个生物散布廊道(Nat Commun, 2023)。
