王强,2005和2008年在四川大学取得理学学士和硕士学位,2011年在中国科学院植物研究所取得理学博士学位,2016-2017英国皇家植物园邱园公派访问学者。现为中国科学院植物研究所研究员,Flora of Pan-Himalaya 编研办公室主任,中国科学院大学岗位教授,中国科学院青年创新促进会优秀会员,青促会理事会副秘书长,中国野生植物保护协会红色名录专业委员会委员,美国植物分类学会刊Systematic Botany副主编。主要从事唇形科、桔梗科植物分类及高山植物多样性研究,主持科技部科技基础资源调查专项,国家自然科学基金青年基金、面上项目、中科院战略生物资源能力建设项目等,在唇形科重要类群世界性分类修订及全球生物多样性热点地区植物志书编研等方面取得了系列研究成果,在本领域国内外知名期刊发表学术论文28篇,在科学出版社、爱思唯尔、剑桥大学出版社、法国EPD学术出版社等出版机构出版中、英文学术专著7部。
