    Research Interests

    Plant Systematics and Evolutionary Genomics

    In the past a few years, I’ve focused on the phylogenomic studies of genus Oryza. Most of my research concerns elucidating the evolutionary relationships of all genome types of the rice genus by use of genome-wide single-copy genes, with special attention being given to the cause of incongruence among single-gene trees. At present, my research moves forward to evolutionary genomics. My interest lies in deciphering the genomic response to genome merger and doubling and the underlying mechanisms, by utilizing Oryza as a model system.
